Why won't people accept there are differences in Spanish? Spanish is spoken in so many countries that it'd be totally stupid to think every single word is translated automatically the same way. In some Spanish speaking countries you don't 'eat' icecream but you 'drink' it. And as for 'icecream' it can be translated as

1- helado

2- nieve

3- matecado

4- paleta helada

5- palito helado

and many different ways.



So people, if you want to translate into Spanish, be ready for diversity.
Estoy comiendo matecado (P.R.) Some other countries say "helado"

I totally agree with Profuy, some people think that the only way to say something is in the way is said in their country, they forget that Spanish is a rich language.Can you translate from english to spanish please ?
Estoy comiendo helado jaja. (instead of "helado", sometimes "nieve" is used to mean ice cream)
