A couple years ago I had found little cards and bookmarks that had a person's name, what it meant and a Bible verse to go with it. After I had those, someone had given me a web site where I could find the Bible verses for anyone's name. There are several places where you can get meanings and cross references, on the web, most of it depending on what you belive. For example, the Catholic Church has an encylopedia of not only names and meanings of names and figures but also history of the Church, etc. Ditto for Judism and other Christian sects.
One book that is very useful if you're looking for more symbolism and Hebrew cross referencing is "The Metaphysical Bible Dictionary." Good luck!
